The 3rd edition of the Festival Caixa Alfama will celebrate Fado in the heart of Alfama, Lisbon.
In 2013, Caixa Geral de Depósitos and the promoter Música no Coração united to embrace the challenge of creating the first Fado Festival. The Festival Caixa Alfama was born.
After two sould out editions and an extension to Oporto, the Caixa Ribeira, the Fado returns this year for another Caixa Alfama, a tribute to Portuguese Culture with the best Fado singers.
The Festival returns to its third edition. It will take place during the 18th and 19th September, in 10 separate venues, with more 40 artists of different generations who best represent, interpret, and disseminate Fado, a genuine element of the Portuguese culture.
On the 18th and 19th September will last, in memory of those who attend concerts, and reinforce the reason why in 2011, Fado was considered Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
The single ticket for the two days, costs 38€ and must be exchanged for a wristband by the ticket owner in the ticket office in Fado Museum, from the 17th September.
This bracelet will allow access to all areas of the Festival up to a limit of capacity of each venue.
